Levante UD, founded in 1909, are the city's second major club alongside rivals Valencia. The Granotas play at the Estadio Ciudad de València in the Orriols district.
Levante are a club with a distinct identity and a support that deliberately sees itself as the counterweight to its bigger neighbour. For decades the club moved between the first and second divisions.
