AZ Alkmaar, founded in 1967, play at the modern AFAS Stadion. The club has established itself in recent years as one of the leading sides in the Netherlands and is known for bold, attacking football.
AZ have won domestic titles and made a name for themselves in Europe too. The club relies on shrewd transfers and strong youth work that keeps producing new talent.
The AFAS Stadion is a modern arena that gives supporters a fine atmosphere and makes AZ an awkward opponent for anyone.
