SSC Napoli, founded in 1926, made their name at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The city of Naples is famous for supporters who follow the club's matches with an enthusiasm that even the city's most celebrated sons cannot overshadow.
The club has produced great legends, above all Diego Maradona, who led Napoli to two league titles and a UEFA Cup. A small aside: ask a Neapolitan about the greatest player and you will probably learn more about Maradona than about Italian politics.
The Azzurri are famous for their team spirit and tireless fighting qualities. When Napoli play, you can be certain the fans will create a unique atmosphere of songs and colour that brings the stadium to life.
