Coventry City FC, founded in 1883, are among the oldest clubs in England. The Sky Blues played continuously in the English top flight from 1967 to 2001.
Their greatest success was winning the FA Cup in 1987, when Coventry beat Tottenham Hotspur in the final. Years in the lower divisions and a hard-fought climb back followed.
The supporters stayed loyal through ground moves and difficult seasons — one of the most remarkable stories of fan loyalty in English football.
